You know….for all this talk about no one (“only 4% oh my! Not mainstream! They’re going to wither away!”) using location services (Pew research report), the story wasn’t particularly different back in 2005 with social networking services
Roughly 2.5 yrs (!) after myspace’s opening up shop (and 18 months after facebook’s) only 11% of folks in the US “ever used” those services.
We’re 18 months in and just hitting our stride and we know there’s a lot of work to be done. I think we (and others in the space) will be just fine 🙂
